Thomas wakes in a lift going up. He knows no more than his name and when he finally reaches the top, he finds himself in a maze, together with a bunch of other kids, that also only remember their names. The group has been inside the maz for over two years, trying to find an exit, but evil creatures are always waiting for them outside their home, the glade.
The book immediately sucked me in and it definetely didn't lack excitement. It is full of cliffhangers at the end of a chapter and one night I even had to keep reading, although I had to go to work in the morning.
Generally, I think it was a great idea and I had fun reading, but there also were a lot of WTF-moments for me and sometimes it was a little over the top. There were things in the book, that were too much and made the book too loadet with information and plot. I'd rather have a longer story in a slower pace, because here, one event followed the other, and often lead to unessecary confusion.
All in all, this book is fun to read and I don't regret buying it. It would simply be better if it wasn't so confusing...
Enjoy :)
